Daran ‘s name has been familiar to us for a long time, first as leader of the French group Daran et les Chaises, then as a solo artist.
Above all, he is the author of 10 studio albums and 1 live album in 26 years.
His second album, released in 1995, Huit barrépropelled him to the forefront of the French rock scene, thanks to the hit single Dormir dehors.
After numerous collaborations with Miossec and Yarol Poupaud, as well as Johnny, Francis Cabrel and Maurane, he now announces his comeback with an 11th album, “Grand Hotel Apocalypse”.Grand Hotel Apocalypse“released in October 2024.

The new album “Grand Hôtel Apocalypse“ (the successor to“Endorphine”, released in 2017) is an album of eleven songs composed and recorded all by himself in his studio over a fairly short period of time, with the exception of the drums, which were played and recorded in Los Angeles by Norm Block (The Afghan Whigs, Warpaing..).

The first single, released in March, has already received a significant response from several major media outlets.

Daran last toured France and Belgium in 2018, so audience anticipation for this new series of concerts is already high. In addition, Warner Music plans to reissue the album “Huit Barré” at the end of the year, which celebrates its 30th anniversary, including the iconic hit “Dormir Dehors”. This reissue promises to rekindle fan interest and generate further excitement around the artist and his work.
